With economic gloom setting in worldwide you need to ensure that you are saving cash at every opportunity. Here are seven great saving cash techniques you can put into practice immediately and save more money than you thought possible.
Here are seven tips to saving cash that you can put into practice right now:
Saving Cash Tip 1 – Examine Your Finances
Yep – it all starts here folks
You need to know clearly what is coming in and what is going out on a month by month basis. The key reason why people spend too much money and often money they can’t afford is because they don’t have firm control of there finances.
Saving Cash Tip 2 – Only Buy What You Need
Work out each month what you have to spend money on. This will probably include rent/mortgage payments, food, travel expenses, utilities (electric, gas, telephone), memberships, car loans etc. Once you have deducted this from your income you will have an amount left for your monthly budget for other things. It is this area that you need to examine. Don’t waste money on non essential items.
Saving Cash Tip 3 – Use Cash Or Debit Cards
A great way of saving cash is to use a debit card or cash when buying things. This is far better than using credit cards as there is often no perceived limit when using these cards. If you use cash then this may make you think twice about buying things as it will reduce the amount of money you immediately have available.
Saving Cash Tip 4 – Make A Record Of Your Spending
Saving cash is often a mindset issue – because you are unaware of your financial position you feel at liberty to spend relentlessly. By keeping records of everything (yes everything) that you spend you will be able to reflect daily on your spending habits. If you can get a receipt for something then do so.
Saving Cash Tip 5 – Use Coupons
Coupons are everywhere. We all receive circulars from our favorite supermarkets and other stores so use them. You can also get coupons from the Internet. Google the stores that you use and see what they have to offer on special this week. You can even plan your weekly menu around these offers.
Saving Cash Tip 6 – Keep Your Visits to the Shops Short
This can be easily achieved by having a list of exactly what you want prepared before you go to the shops. Studies have shown that those people who spend longer in shops are more likely to spend more money than those that go for the short visit. Also those that shop without a “list” will be much more prone to impulse buying as they are not organized.
Saving Cash Tip 7 – Turn Everything Off
Saving cash on your electric bill is very easy – just switch everything off that you are not using or have finished using. How often have you left your TV set on “Standby” overnight? Don’t do it – it will cost you a fortune over the longer term. Also if you have thermostatically controlled heating or air conditioning turn it down to a comfortable level. When you are out at work or somewhere else set the timer to turn it off and turn it back on again a few minutes before your planned return time home.
Saving cash is really all about discipline and conditioning your mind to not only check all of your spending but also to check your spending habits and those of others in your household. It can be difficult at first but when you get into the habit it’s pretty easy. A technique that will help you along the way is just to think to yourself “Do I really need this?” when you are considering buying something that you don’t really need. Give it a try it works every time.

Hi Crystal,
I’ve visited your website and found a lot of interesting and useful information here. I want to cooperate with you. I have several sites on credit cards where people can find useful articles and information about credit and finance. Some of my sites have high Alexa Rank and PR from 0 to 4. They are frequently visited by people. And one of my websites takes its place in the Google top 10 credit card sites. I’m interested in advertising on your blog: text adds, banners or paid posts. If you are interested in my offer, let me know and tell me your price.
Waiting for your soon reply.
